Your support has made a meaningful difference in how we serve our students and collaborate as a staff. With these radios, our counselors are able to stay in constant communication, ensuring that our large group presentations and events run smoothly and efficiently.\r\nDuring college fairs and other high-traffic events, the walkie talkies have been invaluable. They have allowed us to quickly direct students to the appropriate areas, assist representatives from visiting colleges, and respond in real time to any needs that arise. This level of coordination has improved the overall experience for both students and guests, making each event more organized and welcoming.\r\nAdditionally, during Operation College Bound and other college registration efforts, the radios have helped us better support our senior students as they navigate important steps toward their future. Being able to communicate instantly has allowed our team to provide timely assistance, answer questions, and ensure that no student is left without guidance. We are truly grateful for your contribution and the positive impact it continues to have on our school community.","fullyFundedDate":1769177333029,"projectUrl":"project/staying-connected-walkie-talkies-for-sc/9853409/","projectTitle":"Staying Connected: Walkie Talkies for School Counselors","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Carranza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10327255"},{"teacherId":9564406,"projectId":9996830,"letterContent":"My students were thrilled when the boxes of glassware were delivered! We unpackaged them together and they were so excited as we did. They thought the glassware was very fancy and \"cute\" since it was packaged as kits. They were impressed with the variety of sizes that glassware that exist!\r\n\r\nWe have already used the glassware in several occasions. We used them to make slime (properties of matter), rock candy (solubility), and to test electrolyte solutions with simple circuits. We plan to use them again this marking period as we explore acids and bases, make ice cream (thermochemistry), and do tie-dye (chemical bonding/polarity)! The different sizes make for different functions in each lab activity.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, we are able to do more labs! As mentioned on our project page, the new glassware allows us to save time and conduct these labs as groups/stations rather than whole class! This type of learning provides first-hand tactile and visual learning, which is a lot easier for the students to understand when they do it and see it themselves! We were able to use this hands-on activity last marking period and as a refresher this week. It helped them to visualize and count atoms when balancing them. This is very useful because atoms are so small and we cannot see them. So, by having this visual aid, it made keeping track of each atom in a chemical reaction a lot easier!\r\n\r\nThe students loved it! Even as teens, you see their inner child come out like by fighting for the colors they want the atoms to be, calling dibs on which ones they will be using, and becoming more collaborative than the usual. They were so engaged with the activity. It was so nice to see! For those that finished before the entire class, they even loved making little figures/shapes with the little blocks. \r\n\r\nSo, thank you again for helping out our classroom with this donation! It really means so much to us! I know this because they were so happy to use these again this week.","fullyFundedDate":1760120328819,"projectUrl":"project/balancing-reactions-with-a-visual-activi/9631139/","projectTitle":"Balancing Reactions With a Visual Activity!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Herrera","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/erikaherrera"},{"teacherId":9564406,"projectId":9532782,"letterContent":"My students and I are very excited to use the Stoichiometry kit! As mentioned in the project's page, stoichiometry is a very difficult concept for students to visualize. Every year, the students are overwhelmed by the math and the setting up of the problems. So, by having hands-on activities to conceptualize and labs to engage, I believe that they will be beyond successful in the content! \r\n\r\nWhen I created the project page, I was showing my 7th period class and they were hopeful to receive the activities. By luck, or coincidence, the packages were delivered 7th period, so they were elated and knew what was delivered! It made me happy to know that they had been thinking about and expecting the kit. We paused our lesson and finished the class with an \"unboxing\" to celebrate. \r\n\r\nIn Texas, we cover stoichiometry in the spring, so we are not using the lab just yet. However, we will be using the balancing reactions activity form the kit in four weeks! Please enjoy the photos of how happy and thankful my 7th period students are to you!
