We were able to bring in more biliterate books into our classroom. In our classroom, I first read the stories to the students, one a week. Then they were able to take one book home and the families were able to enjoy reading time together. This was something that had not been done before because our class did not have access to these types of bilingual books. \r\n\r\nIn our classroom we now have a shelf where students can pick books that they can read in their homes, in their native language. The students love to take these books home and read to their families.
