Students now have engaging, up-to-date texts that spark their interest and make science lessons come alive. We use the magazines to practice important reading skills like identifying text features, summarizing information, and making connections to real-world science topics. During small groups and independent reading, students eagerly dive into the articles, pointing out fascinating facts and discussing them with their peers. Many students who were hesitant readers are now more motivated because the magazines connect to their natural curiosity about the world. One student even shared that they took their magazine home to show their family a cool experiment they read about! Thanks to your generosity, reading in our classroom is not only purposeful but also joyful, and these resources are helping students grow as both readers and scientists.","fullyFundedDate":1695328495435,"projectUrl":"project/science-experts/7582304/","projectTitle":"Science Experts","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2418999_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1690754583397","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kidsreadingforever"},{"teacherId":2418999,"projectId":7582559,"letterContent":"When the stools arrived, my students were so excited to finally have a special place to sit during small group rotations. They immediately began choosing their stools and proudly took their seats, ready to learn. These new seating options have completely changed how we use our classroom space—students now move smoothly between groups, stay more focused during lessons, and feel comfortable as they learn. One of the first projects we worked on with the stools was our reading rotations, where students rotated between guided reading, independent practice, and word work. The stools gave them a sense of ownership and independence as they settled into each activity. The DonorsChoose community has given my students not only a resource, but also a boost in confidence and excitement for learning. Our next steps are to continue using the stools to strengthen small group instruction, giving every child the chance to learn in a way that fits them best.","fullyFundedDate":1701204587915,"projectUrl":"project/comfy-stools/7582559/","projectTitle":"Comfy Stools","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ramirez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2418999_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1690754583397","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kidsreadingforever"},{"teacherId":2418999,"projectId":7582725,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations.
