I have the unique challenge of being on 2 different school campuses, and I teach grades K-5. I was able to fill my GT classroom with a variety of books for different age levels. \r\nMy first graders are particularly loving the set of board books that introduce each letter in the STEAM acronym. We start class by reading one of the books, and then we do an activity that relates to that topic. For example, the T in STEAM stands for technology. On the day we read that book, we got out our robots and created obstacle courses for them. The A stands for art, so the day we read that book we got creative and made art. \r\nMy students and I sincerely appreciate your generosity!","fullyFundedDate":1756363272690,"projectUrl":"project/gt-classroom-needs-some-stemulating-book/9631085/","projectTitle":"GT Classroom Needs Some STEMulating Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lewis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9468070"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_124543","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":436,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":17,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":71,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":124543,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rodriguez Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rodriguez Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/san-marcos-consolidated-independent-school-district/rodriguez-elementary-school/124543"}
