Because of your generosity, my students were able to fully immerse themselves in creating vibrant, imaginative alebrijes. Your support brought color, culture, and creativity directly into our classroom in a powerful way.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were genuinely excited. Many of them had never worked with sculpture materials like this before, and seeing the paints, tools, and supplies laid out sparked immediate inspiration. They began sketching ideas right away—combining animals, patterns, and personal symbolism to design creatures that represent family heritage, strength, and remembrance. Watching them carefully build, shape, and paint their alebrijes was a beautiful moment of focus and pride. \r\n\r\nWe are using these new resources not only to build technical skills in sculpture and painting, but also to deepen cultural understanding. As students construct their alebrijes, we are discussing the history and meaning behind Día de los Muertos and how art can honor loved ones who have passed. The finished sculptures now sit proudly on our altar, surrounded by marigolds and photographs, serving as both artistic achievements and meaningful tributes.\r\n\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made this experience possible.
