The room lit up with energy as we unpacked the speaker, violin bows, strings, and guitar accessories. For many of our students, these were the first high-quality materials they had ever used.\r\nSince then, our Mariachi groups have been practicing daily with a clearer, stronger sound. The new speaker has allowed us to rehearse with proper balance, helping students hear each section. Violins, trumpets, guitars, and vocals Just like they would on stage. Our violins now stay in tune longer, and broken strings are no longer a setback.\r\nOne special moment was seeing our beginners perform confidently for the first time using the new equipment. They were proud of how professional they sounded. It gave them a real sense of belonging in the program.\r\nNext, our students are preparing for several performances across the city, including our Winter Concert and district showcases. The materials provided are being used every single day to help them grow as musicians and as young leaders in our community. The beginning of the 25-26 school year has been a breeze. The students have access to needed supplies from day one. For example we were able to assemble our learning notebooks with the use of the glue sticks that I had in stock. I was able to provide students notebooks who needed them. The beginning of the school year can be stressful for students and my students didn't have to worry about not having school supplies in my classroom.\r\n\r\nThe plastic bins allowed me to organize my monthly lessons on diversity. In September the school celebrates Hispanic heritage month. This has made their learning so much organized. Students love it because they can easily find information about previous covered topics easily. The highlighters come in handy when we need to highlight important information in a paragraph instead of writing the whole sentence down. The students appreciate the clipboards when we do gallery walks in the classroom, because they are able to clip their graphic organizer to the clipboard and walk around the room taking notes.\r\n\r\nThis project has also allowed me to provide notebooks to students who didn't have one in the first place.
