My students use dry-erase boards and surfaces regularly to work problems, practice new skills, show their thinking, and make corrections without being afraid to make mistakes.\r\nWith so many students using the boards throughout the day, we go through markers and cleaning supplies quickly, so having these items available means we can spend more time learning and practicing math and less time worrying about supplies. Having a color printer right in my classroom allows me to create colorful, engaging materials that help important information stand out and make learning more visually appealing. The colored paper is perfect for activities, review materials, and classroom resources that are easier for students to organize and use.\r\nThe magnetic hooks have been a wonderful addition to my whiteboard because I can easily display posters, anchor charts, and important reminders where all of my students can see them. And the Kleenex has been especially appreciated during cold and flu season! Having plenty available in the classroom helps keep students comfortable and minimizes interruptions to learning.\r\nThese may seem like simple supplies, but together they have helped me create a classroom that is more organized, engaging, functional, and welcoming for my students. Your generosity allowed us to add flexible seating, sensory supports, calming lighting, classroom supplies, and motivational décor that have completely changed the atmosphere of our room.\r\n\r\nThe beanbag chair, soft round rug, fluorescent light covers, color-changing floor lamp, hexagon sensory lights, neon rope lighting, and digital wall clock have helped us create a classroom environment that feels warm and inviting rather than overwhelming. Students now have spaces where they can sit comfortably, work independently, read, reset, or take a few moments to refocus when needed. We have also been able to provide fidget tools for students who benefit from having something in their hands while they listen and work. Even practical supplies like pencils and erasers have made a difference by ensuring students have what they need to participate without worrying about missing materials.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new items, they were incredibly excited. They immediately noticed the lighting, the comfortable seating, and especially the \"We Can Do Hard Things\" neon sign. That message has become an important reminder in our classroom that learning can sometimes be challenging, but students are capable of persevering. Seeing students choose a comfortable place to work, settle into a task, and become more focused has been one of the most rewarding parts of this project.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the school year, these resources will be used during independent work, small-group instruction, reading, intervention, and times when students need a quieter space to regulate and refocus. My goal is for students to continue learning how to recognize what helps them be successful and to use the classroom resources appropriately and independently. We will continue building routines that encourage responsibility, self-advocacy, perseverance, and confidence.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students more than classroom supplies. You helped create a learning environment where students feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to do hard things. Your contribution has made a lasting impact on our classroom, and we are incredibly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1781900787782,"projectUrl":"project/shining-a-light-on-safe-cozy-learning/10263637/","projectTitle":"Shining a Light on Safe, Cozy Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cole","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10493670_orig.jpg?crop=2075,2075,x554,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1789688191381","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10493670"},{"teacherId":5856703,"projectId":10180627,"letterContent":"My students have absolutely loved using our new whiteboard tables!
