My students were so excited when they first saw the materials, and the calm-down corner quickly became their favorite part of our classroom. It has been so heartwarming to see how much they love having a special space just for them.\r\n\r\nSince introducing our new resources, many of my students have already used the calm down corner to self-regulate and take a break when they feel frustrated, overwhelmed, or overstimulated. They can choose a calming tool, take a few quiet moments, and give themselves time to reset. It has become a peaceful and comforting place where they can work through their emotions without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. One of the most rewarding things has been seeing my students return to their learning feeling calmer, refreshed, and ready to participate again.\r\n\r\nBeyond providing a peaceful space, these materials are helping my students develop important lifelong skills. We are learning that it is okay to experience big feelings and that taking a break when we need one is a healthy way to care for ourselves. As we continue throughout the school year, we will keep practicing recognizing our emotions, choosing strategies that help us, and returning to our activities when we feel ready.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make this possible! Your generosity has made such a meaningful impact on our classroom, and I am incredibly grateful that my students have a space where they feel comfortable, supported, and empowered to manage their emotions. You have helped create something truly special for our little classroom family, and we cannot thank you enough!","fullyFundedDate":1786413522311,"projectUrl":"project/calming-corner/10435106/","projectTitle":"Calming Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cruz","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10573702"},{"teacherId":10461615,"projectId":10215151,"letterContent":"The various items you generously donated will be helping my students work on numerous skills.
