We have enjoyed the books and the hands-on learning that was provided by the Squishy Circuits.\r\nWe are actually currently reading The Wild Robot and plan to end our last day of school watching the movie to see how they compare. My goal is for them to always know the book is better.\r\nWith the squishy circuits, we were able to explore making working circuits out of playdough. Did you know that it is a conductive material? It was fascinating to explore that and how to add an insulator to make maybe a playdough cake with candles, or a dog with a light-up collar. \r\nNeedless to say, these additions to the classroom have been amazing and appreciate them so much.","fullyFundedDate":1723490101440,"projectUrl":"project/wild-robots-and-squishy-electricity-be/8526482/","projectTitle":"Wild Robots and Squishy Electricity - Best Year Ever!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Haynie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8342959_orig.jpg?crop=1309,1309,x1059,y205&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1645723167752","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ghaynie"},{"teacherId":8342959,"projectId":7314285,"letterContent":"Having access to daily news on a grade-appropriate level has been key to my students taking an interest in and grasping non-fiction texts.
