The parents were happy to see the books being recycled, showing a good use of their taxpayer dollars. \r\nThe second event was a comicon that drew 4,000 students from across the District and community. I was so busy, I never looked up for 3 hours. The students were so excited to sift through the old books for their favorites and to be able to represent them. Some of these were represented on panels and I was able to send them in the right direction. I was asked to continue to do this at future events. \r\nIn January, students will vote on a list of books from a reading challenge. I'm busy designing buttons to give to them for succeeding in their challenge.
