We have a culturally diverse community on our campus. The books I'm requesting will help to create an inclusive classroom culture where everyone feels represented and heard. These books will be used for both online teaching and in classroom instruction. As educators, we need to be mindful of all the cultures represented in our classroom, and have books that represent the diversity in our students while giving them an opportunity to learn about the world around them. These materials will be used for read alouds to learn about our differences that make us unique individuals. Students will gain an awareness of different cultures and help them understand the need to be life-long learners.
