Because of your generosity, we have 15 students who are now able to go on our trip, and we have been able to raise over $500 so far by selling our 3D-printed items to students and parents alike. We are also already raising money for our next trip to the presidential inauguration in 2029. I cannot adequately express our intense gratitude to all of you who gave so generously to my students.\r\nThe new 3D printer is able to print our projects in a fraction of the time that my previous printer was able to. We have successfully printed earrings for our school as well as our other district high schools. We are able to print large football chains for parents to show their support for their kids, and we can now print roughly $75 worth of fundraiser goods each day. By the time we bring students to the next inauguration, we will likely be able to cover a significant portion of each student's fees. We could not possibly have gotten this done without you, and for that, I will be forever in your debt.","fullyFundedDate":1782230610943,"projectUrl":"project/help-students-celebrate-americas-birthd/10265819/","projectTitle":"Help Students Celebrate America's Birthday","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Prior","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10495427_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778166334479","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10495427"},{"teacherId":9059816,"projectId":10502440,"letterContent":"Thank you for helping me fund my 3-D printer. There will be other creative usage of the 3-D printer. I'm still learning the core and basics of it.\r\n\r\nWords cannot fully express how much your generosity means to our classroom. Because of you, our students will no longer just read about design and engineering — they will live it. They will sketch an idea on paper, watch it take shape layer by layer, and hold their own creation in their hands, all before the final bell rings. For many of them, this printer represents something bigger than technology: proof that people they've never met believe in their potential and are willing to invest in their futures. We promise to honor that belief. Every prototype, every iteration, every student project that emerges from this machine will carry a piece of your kindness with it.","fullyFundedDate":1787159630702,"projectUrl":"project/from-abstract-to-concrete-3d-printing-f/10502440/","projectTitle":"From Abstract to Concrete: 3D Printing for Physics and IPC","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Nguyen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9059816_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x240,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1786975412827","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/khuong-nguyen"},{"teacherId":2721182,"projectId":9107309,"letterContent":"Thank you for providing my students with an opportunity to experience the power of personal narratives in order to understand history. We have used the copies of the graphic novel They Called Us Enemy to better understand the impact of the internment of thousands of American citizens of Japanese ancestry during World War 2. Many of my students had very little understanding of these events and the ability to read about them in the form of these graphic novels was incredibly powerful.\r\n\r\nIn my class I focus on teaching students to use critical thinking to understand historical context, evaluate evidence, and develop reasonable theses to explain their understanding. Often, students are overstimulated by screen-based media and thus the ability to access information in hardcopy was a welcome break! They also found the graphic novel format to much more accessible than a block of text. This resulted in many students connecting with the material in ways they may otherwise have not.","fullyFundedDate":1739214163352,"projectUrl":"project/graphic-novels-to-make-history-accessibl/9107309/","projectTitle":"Graphic Novels to Make History Accessible","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Mount","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2721182_orig.png?crop=500,500,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1739208577750","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2721182"},{"teacherId":7647563,"projectId":9119258,"letterContent":"Technology is giving my students the ability to move from ideas to tangible, real-world creations. Using tools like Raspberry Pi devices, they are learning the foundations of computing, problem-solving, and design in a hands-on way. Instead of just talking about concepts, students are actively building, testing, and improving their projects. The addition of better input devices like keyboards makes these experiences more accessible and less frustrating, allowing students to focus on creativity and learning rather than struggling with basic functionality. At the same time, materials like glue and magnets support their 3D printing work, helping them understand engineering concepts such as structure, stability, and assembly. Altogether, this technology fosters collaboration, critical thinking, and persistence.\r\nWhat excites students most about these new materials is the ability to bring their full vision to life. Many of their 3D prints are multipart designs, and having the right tools to assemble and secure them means their projects can be completed the way they originally imagined. This sense of completion is incredibly motivating. They also take pride in maintaining their workspace, and having a vacuum available reinforces responsibility and respect for shared learning environments. The upgraded keyboards also make working with Raspberry Pi devices feel more \"real,\" like they are using professional-grade tools, which boosts their confidence and engagement.\r\nSeveral students who may not have initially been confident in traditional academic settings have especially connected with this technology. Hands-on learners, in particular, thrive when given the opportunity to build and experiment. I've seen students who typically hesitate to participate become leaders during project time, eagerly troubleshooting issues or helping peers assemble their designs. The combination of creative freedom and practical tools allows a wider range of students to succeed and take ownership of their learning in meaningful ways.","fullyFundedDate":1742942928367,"projectUrl":"project/cleaning-supplies-and-upgrade-of-keyboar/9119258/","projectTitle":"Cleaning Supplies and Upgrade of Keyboard for Raspberry Pi Devices","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Londot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7647563_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1620326768866","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-londot"},{"teacherId":7647563,"projectId":8864814,"letterContent":"Your support has made a meaningful difference in my classroom, and I want to share what this project has done for my students.\r\n\r\nThe technology you helped provide has transformed how students engage with physics. Instead of passively receiving information, students are now actively collecting and analyzing real data in real time. This allows them to immediately connect abstract concepts—like force, motion, and energy—to what they can actually observe and measure. It has shifted our classroom from \"learning about physics\" to truly doing physics, which builds deeper understanding and confidence.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is the immediacy and clarity the technology provides. They can see graphs appear instantly, test predictions on the spot, and revise their thinking without waiting for feedback days later. That instant connection between action and result has made learning more interactive, more visual, and much more meaningful for them.\r\n\r\nSeveral students have especially benefited from this shift. I've seen students who previously struggled with traditional problem-solving come alive when working with the technology. For example, one student who often hesitated to participate in class discussions became much more engaged when analyzing data collected from our experiments. Being able to see the relationships rather than just calculate them gave this student a new level of confidence and willingness to share ideas.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped create a classroom environment where curiosity drives learning and where all students have access to tools that make complex ideas more approachable. Thank you for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1730726939014,"projectUrl":"project/3d-printer-to-increase-creativity-for-pr/8864814/","projectTitle":"3D Printer to Increase Creativity for Projects","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Londot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7647563_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1620326768866","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mr-londot"},{"teacherId":10298370,"projectId":9786526,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the new mobile printer for our debate and speech teams — it's already making a big difference. They are able to print debate packets and speech copies quickly, and experienced competitors love being able to reorganize and print custom blocks or updated scripts between rounds. This is especially important for Congress Debate events.\r\n\r\nA few novice team members have also started to take responsibility for compiling packets, updating evidence files, printing materials for both speech and debate events, and coordinating distribution for the whole team, which has boosted their confidence and participation.
