Because of your generosity, Merriman Park was able to add books to our library shelves in a year when part of our library budget is frozen. Students were usually in the library when the packages arrived, and they were smiling from ear to ear, eager for their next read. \r\n\r\nI loved seeing the community come together to support these projects, as well as receiving donations from people we don't even know. To know that so many people are eager to support the library is an amazing feeling. \r\n\r\nThese library books are available to everyone in the building. These are books that students will read by themselves or pair up and buddy read! Sometimes adults will borrow them for classes or for a fun \"mystery reader\" opportunity. Several of the new titles have been asked about before I even made the order, so I know they'll be in high demand once they hit the shelves. \r\n\r\nThank you again for helping our school library grow and getting new books into the hands of our young readers.","fullyFundedDate":1779665566568,"projectUrl":"project/pages-with-purpose-help-us-grow-our-lib/10300641/","projectTitle":"Pages with Purpose: Help Us Grow Our Library Vol. 2","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Song","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10505507_orig.jpg?crop=2832,2832,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1786989474019","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10505507"},{"teacherId":10505507,"projectId":10279130,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your kind donation of books to the Merriman Park Elementary library. This year, our budget has been reduced due to some much-needed construction in our district. However, thanks to your generosity, their faces were full of smiles as the books were delivered. \r\n\r\nSeveral of these picture books are wonderful stories for the whole family. I'm hoping that these titles will be enjoyed by the student and their household, solidifying the importance of literacy in and outside of the school. \r\n\r\nI have some young students who read at a higher level than their classmates, and they feel like they've read everything of interest.
