For many of our students, this is their first opportunity to interact with real instruments — drums, shakers, bells, and more — and the effect has been nothing short of magical.\r\nMusic as a Bridge for Communication and Expression\r\nMany of our learners are nonverbal or have limited verbal skills, and traditional forms of communication can be challenging. The instruments you helped provide have become a powerful tool for expression. We've seen students light up when they realize they can make sounds, keep rhythm, and respond to cues — often showing focus, excitement, and joy that are hard to achieve through other means.\r\nBuilding Skills Through Play\r\nThese instruments aren't just fun — they're essential for developmental learning. Students are working on fine and gross motor skills as they grasp mallets, tap tambourines, or shake maracas. They're practicing turn-taking, listening, and following directions through structured music activities. And most importantly, they're developing confidence in their abilities.","fullyFundedDate":1752586396401,"projectUrl":"project/magical-musical-mayhem/9317363/","projectTitle":"Magical Musical Mayhem","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Bryner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7567622_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1611701864324","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7567622"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_131390","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":955,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":4,"percentAsian":40,"percentBlack":9,"percentWhite":35,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":8,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":131390,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hall Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hall Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/prosper-independent-school-district/hall-elementary-school/131390"}
