These resources are already making a difference in our everyday learning. My students use the highlighters to identify important details and evidence in texts, pocket folders to keep their work organized, and dry-erase markers for collaborative activities and practice. The caddies have also given each group a designated place to keep their supplies, which makes it much easier for students to get what they need and get right to work.\r\n\r\nMy students were especially excited to see all of the new supplies arrive! Having materials that are organized, accessible, and ready to use helps our classroom run more smoothly and gives students the tools they need to participate actively in their learning. As we continue through our year, these supplies will be used during reading, writing, grammar, and test-preparation activities. Due to all the donations I was able to have snacks for students who forgot breakfast or missed breakfast. I was able to provide supplies to a first year teacher who was in desperate need of pencils, paper and highlighters. I was able to provide my students with brand new calculators that actually work and are not always glitchy or oddly turned off. My students were even able to do fun projects with the big poster boards that expanded their learning experience in class and I got to later post them outside the classrooms. \r\n\r\nWorking at a title one that supplies very limited funds to teachers for school supplies can be challenging and I am often spending my own money on school supplies for my students. Your generosity has truly made a difference.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, many students who often come to school with empty stomachs are able to focus better and stay more engaged during lessons. Knowing there is something available for them when they need it has meant so much.\r\n\r\nThe snacks have also been a great positive incentive in our classroom. Students can use earned points to purchase a snack, which has encouraged responsibility and motivation. At the same time, snacks are always provided freely to students who need one—no questions asked.\r\n\r\nThe students absolutely love the variety of choices and take pride in having their own little \"personal pantry\" in the classroom. They feel supported, cared for, and appreciated—and that is something I see reflected in their attitudes every day.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping create a classroom environment where students feel ready to learn and supported in more ways than one.
