When I told my students we got fully funded they were so excited some even shed tears from excitement!\r\n\r\nTo say we are grateful is an understatement! Your support has truly made a difference in the learning experiences of our PreK4 students, and I can't wait to share how we've been using the new materials you helped provide.\r\n\r\nThe headphones have been invaluable for our literacy centers. With several students using educational apps at the same time, the headphones ensure they can focus on their individual tasks without distractions. One of the sweetest moments was seeing their faces light up when they put the headphones on for the first time. It was like a whole new world of learning opened up to them!\r\n\r\nThe magnet tiles and building blocks have sparked creativity and teamwork among the students. For example, during our unit on \"Building a Community,\" the students worked together to create buildings, roads, and even parks using the blocks. They were so engaged in the project, problem-solving together and learning about structure, balance, and design in the process. It was incredible to watch their ideas come to life!\r\n\r\nThe students were over the moon when they first saw the materials. Their excitement was palpableāthere was an immediate buzz in the room as they eagerly grabbed the blocks and started constructing. It was clear that they felt empowered to create, collaborate, and explore in ways they hadn't before.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the next steps for our students involve continuing to build on the skills they've started developing. With the magnet tiles, we're moving into more complex engineering challenges. One upcoming project is to design a \"dream school\" where students will collaborate to build and describe their ideal learning environment. This will tie in with their understanding of structures, as well as their growing vocabulary and communication skills.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you for your incredible support. You've given our students the opportunity to learn in new, exciting ways, and we are so grateful for your kindness and generosity.","fullyFundedDate":1729800388759,"projectUrl":"project/headphones-for-mrs-esparzas-prek4-dual/8790071/","projectTitle":"Headphones for Mrs Esparza's Prek4 Dual Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Esparza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9752332_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729807818425","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9752332"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_8154","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":378,"numTeachers":31,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":99,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"12.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":61.5,"schoolId":8154,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Sgt Leonel Trevino Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Sgt Leonel Trevino Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/pharr-san-juan-alamo-independent-school-district/sgt-leonel-trevino-elementary-school/8154"}
