These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. All the selected books have been chosen with my students in mind as I created a student survey that asked them what type of books they enjoy reading. Students will be able to select books, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. With these new books, my students will be able to handpick from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level. They will also be able to select books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to develop my students reading abilities. My students have shown an interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their literacy skills.
