They can better recognize concepts such as tone quality, balance, dynamics, articulation, and musical expression.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting things for our students has been hearing the music they are currently learning performed by professional ensembles. These recordings give them a clear example of what they can work toward and often motivate them to improve. Some students have even become more curious about different instruments and ensembles after hearing them through the speaker.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this technology has made listening a more active part of our classroom. Instead of simply being told how something should sound, students can hear it, discuss it, and then try to recreate those musical qualities themselves.
