Because of each of you, my students have access to more books that they can read to inspire them and ignite love for reading as it is essential to their daily lives. The conversation dice adds an additional element of how my students are learning social skills and how they can better communicate with their peers and adults within the school community and at home. \r\n\r\nI want to share a quick story about my students, because of your donations. When my students first started at the beginning of the school year in August, they were struggling with reading proficiency and falling behind. Thanks to the new books that we received and encouragement from my paras and I, these additional books from Lakeshore have improved our students' reading levels by one grade level within one month. They also feel more confident looking through our classroom library for new titles and showing us what books they picked out to read! It's incredible to see how much they have grown in a short period of time! \r\n\r\nYour support doesn't just fund an initiative—it changes daily realities for our students in the classroom right here at Thompson.
