We are using the chomp saw cardboard cutter during our design challenges to quickly and accurately cut cardboard for projects. One memorable moment was during a recent build session when students were designing columns—they were able to design and revise their work multiple times in a single class period because the tool made cutting so fast and precise. Instead of struggling with scissors, they could focus on problem-solving, testing ideas, and improving their designs.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the chomp saw, their reactions were priceless—lots of wide eyes and excited comments about how it felt like a \"real\" tool professionals use. They were immediately eager to try it and the tool instantly raised engagement and confidence, especially for students who love to build things!\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue using the chomp saw as part of our bridge, skyscraper, and structure design projects for our annual showcase. Because of your generosity, my students aren't just learning about design—they're experiencing it in a meaningful, memorable way. Thank you for helping make our classroom feel like a true innovation space.","fullyFundedDate":1757640368357,"projectUrl":"project/cutting-edge-creativity/9687081/","projectTitle":"Cutting Edge Creativity","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Esquivel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4924102_orig.jpg?crop=480,480,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757282918998","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4924102"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_124067","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":552,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":5,"percentWhite":11,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":78,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.1,"schoolId":124067,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mora Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mora Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/northside-independent-school-district/linda-g-mora-elementary-school/124067"}
