Your generosity brought so much joy and excitement into their lives, and I truly cannot express how meaningful this gift was to all of us. When the books arrived, the students were overwhelmed with happiness. Some of them even cried tears of joy because they felt seen, valued, and loved. For many of my students, books are more than just stories on pages—they are comfort, inspiration, adventure, and hope. Being able to place books in their hands that they personally love and connect with created a moment they will never forget. Seeing their reactions reminded me why acts of kindness like yours make such a lasting impact in a classroom and in the hearts of children.\r\n\r\nThis project became especially meaningful because of the unexpected circumstances surrounding this school year. During Spring Break, I suffered a stroke and, unfortunately, was unable to return to the classroom afterward. It was an incredibly difficult experience, both physically and emotionally, because I never had the opportunity to properly say goodbye to my students or finish the year alongside them. As a teacher, that connection with students means everything, and not being able to see them again before the school year ended left a deep ache in my heart. When this project was funded, however, it gave me a way to still reach my students and remind them how much I care about them. Even though I could not be there in person, your generosity allowed me to show them love, encouragement, and support through something I knew would make them happy. In many ways, these books became more than a classroom resource—they became a message to my students that they were still in my thoughts and that they remained deeply important to me.\r\n\r\nYour kindness brought light into a very challenging season of my life and created beautiful memories for my students during a time of transition and uncertainty. I will always be grateful not only for the books themselves, but also for the compassion and care behind your donation. You helped me continue fulfilling my role as a teacher even when I could no longer stand in front of my classroom, and that is something I will never forget. Because of you, my students felt celebrated, encouraged, and loved at the end of the year, and I was given the priceless gift of knowing I could still make a difference in their lives despite the circumstances. Thank you again for your generosity, your thoughtfulness, and your support of both my students and me during such a difficult time.","fullyFundedDate":1778067251560,"projectUrl":"project/our-favorite-books/10050994/","projectTitle":"Our Favorite Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6107730_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y48&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762912826336","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-verastigue-jackson"},{"teacherId":6107730,"projectId":9873436,"letterContent":"We are grateful for your generous donation of a class set of Flat Stanley. The students are actively engaging with the book, and your contribution will enables us to incorporate this novel study into our curriculum each year. \r\n\r\nThe reading experience has provided valuable learning opportunities for the class. Each week, we read a new chapter and then explore it further through writing, art, and social studies activities. This approach allows students to engage with the story from multiple angles, deepening their understanding and making connections across different subjects. The combination of reading and hands-on learning has created a rich experience that brings the narrative to life in meaningful ways. For example, each student created their own Flat Stanley character and has been responsible for caring for it throughout our lessons. This combination of reading and creative play has provided an engaging way for students to connect with the material and develop their understanding of the story. \r\n\r\nThank you so very much for making this possible for us.","fullyFundedDate":1764728282476,"projectUrl":"project/global-adventure-with-flat-stanley/9873436/","projectTitle":"Global Adventure with Flat Stanley","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Jackson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6107730_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y48&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1762912826336","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-verastigue-jackson"},{"teacherId":6107730,"projectId":9792966,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your thoughtful donation to our classroom.
