Motor skills develop physical and social interaction. Students will be able to develop these skills through gross motor activities. Flexible seating will increase oxygen flow to the brain and improve core strength. My students will enjoy independent reading with their furniture and focus on lessons with flexible seating. With these activities my students will have more peer interaction inside and outside of the classroom! They will gain social skills, verbal communication, intrinsic interest in books, and will work collaboratively with others. Overall, these activities will create a positive learning environment.
