Having three additional kits means more students can build, experiment, and problem-solve at the same time rather than waiting for a turn. Students have been working together to follow circuit diagrams, test different components, and figure out what makes their lights, fans, and other pieces work. One of my favorite moments has been watching students troubleshoot when something doesn't work as expected. They immediately start making predictions, checking their connections, and trying again. They are learning that mistakes are not failures, but an important part of the engineering process.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the additional Snap Circuits kits, they were thrilled to have more opportunities to build. The extra kits have made it possible for more students to be actively involved and have their own \"aha!\" moments. Next, we'll continue exploring how electrical circuits work and challenge students to design their own working circuits. With more materials available, more students can engage in hands-on learning.\r\n\r\nThe introduction of microscopes and an ant farm has sparked incredible interest. Students are filled with questions as they observe the ants' behavior and wonder about their communication and daily lives. The microscopes enhance their ability to explore the world closely, emphasizing the value of hands-on experiences.\r\n\r\nI also have special surprises planned for later in the year, including a geode kit, a rock collection, and seed-starting materials. I look forward to the students cracking open geodes, comparing rocks, and planting seeds, which will enrich our science lessons through observation and discovery.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, my students will continue to ask questions and explore their surroundings. Whether designing marble runs, observing ants, using microscopes, or growing plants, these experiences encourage them to see themselves as scientists and problem solvers.
