The students have really enjoyed learning new cultural songs from Mexico, Spain and Cuba while playing exciting rhythms with the new percussion instruments you provided us in class. They also enjoyed reading the new materials and books while broadening their minds on the world, geography and culture. They were so excited to see the boxes of new materials come in daily and we were all so grateful for your contribution in supporting Liberal Arts and World Language in our school. \r\n\r\nBecause the students were able to study and learn so much this past semester, they sang several songs in both English and Spanish. I was able to get them to perform out in the community as well. The school had a Spaghetti Dinner on 10/28 where they dressed up & performed fun Halloween tunes and then I took some students out on a Christmas Caroling field trip on 12/19 to sing at two Senior Living Retirement Homes and a Christmas themed park in our town. We had a blast! The older residents of those places were so happy to see the youth out and about and connecting through our love of music. What a joy!\r\n\r\nOn a side note, I am an admirer of several of Chuck Lorre's 80's/90's/2000's sitcoms and his life-long work. What an honor to be selected by such a talented producer, director and composer! Interestingly enough, I was an Elementary Music Teacher and Middle School Choir Director for 22 years. I have only been teaching Spanish for the last 2 years and have devoted my life's work to the Arts through Education. I also did come community theatre with 'Fiddler on The Roof' as one of my favorite musicals as well as West Side Story. \r\n\r\nSo much goodness and joy has come from your kindness, support and financial donation to my class and program. May 2026 be an amazing year for all of us and we are so grateful for God's many blessings.
