When I pulled out the sensory items to explain their purpose, my students were so excited to try to see what would work for them. The class set of chair bands have already become an overwhelming favorite!\r\n\r\nMy students are learning that sometimes they may need a little movement, sensory input, or something to keep their hands busy in order to help their brains focus and their learning. They are learning what it means to be self-aware of those feelings and needs. The fidgets and sensory tools give them a way to meet those needs while still participating in lessons and being successful in the classroom.
