By forming a media team, they are learning that being a scientist or engineer also means being a good storyteller. They are using the camera to film their building process and competition highlights, which helps them see their own progress in a really clear, professional way. It's teaching them how to communicate their ideas effectively, which is a skill they will use long after they leave my classroom.\r\n\r\nThe students are most excited about how easy it is to get great results. They love the built-in stabilization because it makes their videos look polished and 'official' right away. It's a huge step up from using a basic phone, and they take a lot of pride in the high-quality footage they're producing for our TSA chapter.\r\n\r\nI've noticed that this tech has been a great fit for my students who are a bit more quiet. They have really warmed up to the hands-on side of filming and editing. One student, who is usually very soft-spoken, has taken charge of the audio and camera settings, finding a new sense of confidence in being the person behind the scenes. This camera hasn't just captured our activities; it has given these students a new way to lead and contribute to the team.","fullyFundedDate":1778166693155,"projectUrl":"project/capturing-innovation-pro-grade-tech-for/10210380/","projectTitle":"Capturing Innovation: Pro-Grade Tech for Our TSA Chapter","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Ervin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4657366_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1545343100942","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrervincs"},{"teacherId":4657366,"projectId":10191839,"letterContent":"The arrival of our Brecknell digital scale, digital calipers, and soldering stations has turned our classroom into a true maker space. We are currently using these resources to teardown and repair small electronics, allowing students to measure components to the millimeter and weight parts for material analysis.\r\n\r\nOne highlight was a student successfully using the Helping Hands magnifier to steady a circuit board for a delicate repair—the focus in the room was incredible.
