Your contributions have given us the latter. Thanks to you, our class is calmer, and has shown a growth in positive student to student interaction. \r\n First of all, my peers gleam with excitement when they pass my room and see students silently reading one of their favorite novels. Student earn the right to some quiet time alone from the hardships and stresses they encounter on a daily basis in high school. I have recently seen students rest and just listen to music while sitting and being cradled by the bean bags you gifted. \r\n Furthermore, I have a noticed great improvement on how students interact with each other. There is something about sitting next to a friend and sharing thoughts and ideas in a quiet area. My students are collaborating on assignments and their grades have significantly improved. They giggle and laugh as they help each other make sense of difficult homework questions. \r\n Finally, there is nothing wrong with either a loud or quiet class as long as learning is happening. Occasionally, students all need a quiet nook to escape to and if you have a buddy to accompany you it makes your soul sparkle with joy. None of this would be possible without you Google, Teen Mental Health Initiative, and the wonderful, unanimous, donors. So, Pascal was right all along when he mentioned that in order to be happy in life, one must make time to disconnect from this loud world, and that whenever possible if you are going to escape to relax...Always have a friend ready to join you on the journey.","fullyFundedDate":1732717443704,"projectUrl":"project/study-nook/8885783/","projectTitle":"Study Nook","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Jimenez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9806487"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13071","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2060,"numTeachers":143,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":94,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":74.3,"schoolId":13071,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Memorial High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Memorial High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/mcallen-independent-school-district/mcallen-memorial-high-school/13071"}
