With Texas weather so unpredictable, when it is hot outside and the AC is high it can make it hard to plan outfits. The blankets ensure students are at a constant optimal temperature for learning and help give them comfort. This also cut down on the amount of laundry I have to do, by providing a larger number of blankets for students to use! I have students not in my class, come by and ask to borrow blankets during the school day.\r\n\r\nI also asked for some dry erase markers which have been used almost daily! These allow students to practice the chemistry skills we are learning and give me real time feedback for reteaching and support.\r\n\r\nThe fidgets continue to be a huge hit, and allow my students with ADHD and other sensory needs to focus during class.\r\n\r\nThese comfort items help students to lower their affective filter, and retain more information during the school day. The fact that you spent your money in this economy to help a teacher and students you don't even know, is such an example of how wonderful the world can be.
