They have made a positive impact on my classroom by creating a more engaging and welcoming learning environment. They spark students' curiosity, encourage their imaginations, and build a love for reading. Having a variety of books available allows students to explore different topics, make connections to their own lives, and develop their vocabulary and comprehension skills. They absolutely love the Pigeon books and even argue over them most days! \r\n\r\nBooks have also improved my instruction time by providing meaningful ways to introduce and reinforce skills. I can use read-alouds, small-group reading, and interactive discussions to teach important concepts such as main idea, character traits, sequencing, and making predictions. Mellow minute is our favorite time to share a book together as a class that is just for fun. \r\n\r\nOverall, the books, flexible seating, fidgets and math manipulatives, have become an important tool in my classroom because they support students' academic growth while making learning more enjoyable. They help create meaningful lessons, reach students with different learning needs, and build confidence in their abilities. By your generous donations, I have been able to do so much more in my classroom. I can make learning more purposeful, engaging, and effective.","fullyFundedDate":1787415118741,"projectUrl":"project/new-classroom/10495028/","projectTitle":"New Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lewis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10595833"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_102921","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":818,"numTeachers":63,"percentFrplEligible":17,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":67,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"13.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":62.1,"schoolId":102921,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Central Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Central Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/lubbock-cooper-ind-sch-dist/lubbock-cooper-central-elementary-school/102921"}
