Staying safe and sanitary while we play is the Number 1 Rule in My Gym. This is my 9th year at Nitsch, I take pride in being able to keep My students safe year after year. Your donation to our school ensures I am able to continue successfully this year. \r\n Our \"Blue Spots\" keep each student on the grid seating arrangement. Each student has the space to move, exercise, dance and express themselves in a safe structured setting. Behaviors are reduced and the average sneeze doesn't have a chance to reach the friends around them. The floor tape keeps the students safe and out of the play area during large group games. If only I could stop the spinning... :(\r\n We will replace our current doorbell w/ the new receivers to ensure we do not have kids waiting too long outside the gym doors. Cleaning products have already been used during our Jump Rope, and Basketball Units. \r\n\r\nMy Gym looks and feels safer everyday. My students now have consistent opportunities to practice their reading skills in ways that are engaging, varied, and directly connected to the TEKS. During independent practice time, the cards help them get focused right away, I can target specific skills with students who need extra support.\r\n\r\nBecause the cards are short and accessible, students built confidence as they saw themselves improving with each practice. I've noticed that they are more willing to tackle challenging texts. This project has given my students strategies they can use beyond any assessment.
