As a Resource ELA teacher, I work with an incredible group of students who rely on accommodations like text-to-speech to access their learning. Your contribution has made a real difference in their daily experience.\r\n\r\nThe headphones you helped provide—with attached microphones—have been a game changer. I chose this style specifically for some of my tech-savvy students who were using the speech-to-text feature on their iPads to write essays. Before, they had to hold the iPads close to their faces, which often drew unwanted attention. Now, thanks to the new headphones, they can speak comfortably and confidently, using the tools they need without feeling self-conscious. It's a small shift that's had a big impact on their confidence and ability to engage with their learning.\r\n\r\nThe color printer has also been a tremendous asset. Many of my students have dyslexia, and during a recent training, I learned that reading traditional black text on white paper can be especially challenging for them. Printing in color, as research suggests, significantly improves their ability to read and comprehend materials. Your support has made it possible for me to provide resources that are not only functional but truly accessible to all of my students.\r\n\r\nThank you, from the bottom of my heart, for helping me create a classroom where all students can learn in ways that work best for them. Your kindness and generosity are felt every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1738780094361,"projectUrl":"project/essentials-for-special-education/8953876/","projectTitle":"Essentials for Special Education","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilhite","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9842746"},{"teacherId":9633746,"projectId":8578718,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for donating to my classroom! My students were very excited to see our new supplies and furniture, and it has made our time to read days an enjoyable part of our week. Every Friday my students read a book of their choosing for 15 minutes, the hope is that I build them into life long readers. One key part of that is getting students into books they really love, and making reading less of a chore. Having beanie bags in my room may seem like a silly thing, but this tiny thing makes Fridays more enjoyable for my students. \r\n\r\nWe have even been able to create some projects from the books we have read so far this year using the supplies donated to our classroom. My students and I really appreciate your donation.","fullyFundedDate":1726846130178,"projectUrl":"project/everyday-items-that-make-a-big-differenc/8578718/","projectTitle":"Everyday Items That Make a Big Difference","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9633746_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754328368609","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9633746"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_13257","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":687,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":94,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":38,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":45,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":21.1,"schoolId":13257,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Rancier Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Rancier Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/killeen-independent-school-district/rancier-middle-school/13257"}
