My students have enjoyed having stools that are accessible to their height and comfortable to create in. \r\n\r\nEach day, I teach 125 students, with a different group each day. From Kinder through 5th grade, these stools have made art projects so much easier in our class. Our kinder students are now able to sit in their chairs, scoot themselves in, and get out of their chairs without help. Our 4th and 5th graders are now able to sit fully on their stools and scoot in without their legs being squished against the underside of the table. Everyone is truly so much safer and happier and the stools haven't been an issue once this year. \r\n\r\nIn addition, our students have been able to totally focus on being creative instead of focusing on comfort or safety. It has changed the whole environment of the room. Students are more engaged, focused, and the overall flow and smoothness of the classroom is so much better. There are less disruptions with kids falling out of their chairs or having to stand to be more comfortable.","fullyFundedDate":1733255948149,"projectUrl":"project/a-safe-and-comfortable-classroom-for-cre/8826552/","projectTitle":"A Safe and Comfortable Classroom for Creative Minds","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hodges","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3686995_orig.jpg?crop=1937,1937,x154,y594&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727303324339","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3686995"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_8997","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":580,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":59,"percentAsian":11,"percentBlack":25,"percentWhite":26,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":28,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":84.2,"schoolId":8997,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Heritage Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Heritage Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/keller-independent-school-district/heritage-elementary-school/8997"}
