Having access to options such as clipboards, lap desks, and portable dry erase boards has allowed students to choose spaces where they feel comfortable, calm, and ready to focus. Many students are more engaged during lessons and independent work because they now have seating that better supports their individual learning styles and sensory needs. Giving students ownership over where they learn has also encouraged responsibility, confidence, and positive classroom behavior.\r\n\r\nThe flexible seating has also strengthened collaboration and classroom community. Students are excited to learn, work together, and participate in activities throughout the day. The classroom feels more welcoming, inclusive, and student-centered, which has helped create a positive atmosphere where students feel safe and supported. Because of this project, my students are not only more comfortable physically, but they are also building stronger social skills, independence, and a greater love for learning.
