They have been using them with their name tracing and have really liked using these instead of the flimsy page protectors that I was using. They trace their name when they finish their work early. They also have a zip-loc baggie in which they have their dry erase marker and a black sock used as an eraser and they keep all the items in their desk.\r\n\r\n I also use the dry erase pouches in my writing stations and for fine motor practice. The kids will practice tracing all kinds of lines and handwriting strokes. They also practice tracing letters, numbers and shapes. I have plenty of pouches to have a set for the individual letters, numbers and shapes so I don't have to take the pages out to reuse the pouches for another activity. This really does save me a lot of time. \r\n\r\n These pouches are so useful and handy and help make our daily routines easier. The puppets have changed the dynamics of my classroom from engagement with learning to enormous growth in social and emotional development. My students rush to class every Monday to find out what new character they will meet. I've noticed them referencing our puppets while navigating a challenging situation, or trying to recall specific sounds and their accompanying letters. \r\n\r\nDuring free choice time my students always spend their time at the puppet center. It is encouraging and heart-warming to see their stories come to life with their favorite characters. \r\n\r\nThe community you have helped established in our classroom simply cannot be measured with numbers. However, I can confidently share that my students are kinder, more compassionate, and more empathetic than before.
