Having notebooks, pencils, colored pencils, markers, atlases, index cards, and other everyday materials readily available was both a relief and a confidence booster for my students. No student had to stand out because they did not have what they needed or settle for an alternative. One of the moments that stayed with me most was when students began asking if they could take a notebook to use in another class because they were the only student there without one. Being able to simply say, \"Yes, take one,\" reminded me that these supplies reached far beyond the walls of my classroom.\r\n\r\nSome of the smallest items have also made a surprisingly big difference. Having a dependable pencil sharpener means we can sharpen and reuse pencils instead of constantly replacing them. The alcohol prep pads may actually be one of our biggest hits! We share classroom earbuds, and students appreciate being able to clean them after each use. Something as simple as wiping down an earbud removes an awkward or embarrassing moment and makes shared classroom resources feel more comfortable and sanitary.\r\n\r\nThese donations did more than stock shelves and drawers. They helped create a classroom where students know that if they need something to learn, there is a good chance we can provide it without questions or embarrassment. Your generosity has allowed me to say \"I've got you\" in small but meaningful ways throughout the school day, and that sense of security has had an impact that goes well beyond the cost of the supplies. Thank you for helping my students feel prepared, included, and ready to learn.","fullyFundedDate":1784125717052,"projectUrl":"project/world-geography-world-history-oh-my/10366343/","projectTitle":"World Geography, World History, Oh My","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. James","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10366238_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1783389098901","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10366238"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_108141","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":784,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":63,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":20,"percentWhite":19,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":3,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":79.6,"schoolId":108141,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about International Leadership of Texas - Keller Saginaw on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"International Leadership of Texas - Keller Saginaw","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/international-leadership-of-texas/intl-leadership-school-keller/108141"}
