Because of your generosity, our students were not only able to travel to the STEM Competition in Chicago—they returned home with two national awards and a renewed sense of pride and purpose.\r\n\r\nFrom the moment the shipments began arriving—hoodies, gloves, snacks, college prep books, drills, robotics kits, and more—our students knew something special was happening. The classroom buzzed with excitement as they tore into boxes, planned race car upgrades, practiced college interviews using the SAT guides, and programmed their micro:bit safety solutions. One team even named their robot \"ChiBot\" in anticipation of the trip!\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, our students were prepared for every part of the experience: coding, building, presenting, and even the unpredictable Chicago weather. The pink drills made them feel like pros, and the micro:bit robotics kits helped them refine their AI-powered prototypes. The hygiene kits, snacks, and travel accessories ensured they could focus on learning, performing, and representing Houston with confidence.\r\n\r\nAt the competition, they wowed judges with their teamwork, creativity, and engineering skills—earning two national awards and making lasting connections with students and mentors from across the country. One student summed it up best: \"This trip changed my life. I never thought I'd win anything at a national competition, and now I know I can do hard things.\"\r\n\r\nBecause of you, they didn't just go—they grew.
