My Art I classes include 9th–12th grade students, and for about 85%, this is their first experience painting with acrylic on canvas. After a six-week unit focused on color theory and watercolor, students were excited to begin our first of three acrylic paintings, a step-by-step sunset composition.\r\n\r\nThe photos show classes at different stages of the process, and it has been incredible to watch students build confidence as they learn blending, layering, and composition. Many students who were unsure at first are now fully engaged and proud of their work.\r\n\r\nA few advanced students have also explored using the materials to create 3D deep sea life sculptures, showing creativity and experimentation. Our painting unit will continue through April, allowing students to grow their skills and complete additional works.\r\n\r\nYour donation has provided not just supplies, but meaningful opportunities for creativity, confidence, and artistic growth.
