And our students have done their best to ensure at our garden that you have supported, we'll continue to thrive in the future.\r\n\r\nMany of the plants that you donated were planted using the tools you also provided to us generously. Many of the students have started making connections between the sources of food around the United States and the food that they eat at home. My students now have a greater understanding of the sustainability of food sources.\r\n\r\nOur students have also been able to cultivate a small area in our garden, where we are could start to support pollinators, and particularly monarch butterflies. My students are still learning and I am learning with them, so it'll take some time for us to establish\r\nA proper flower bed for this. We have, however, begun to see the fruits of our students' efforts. I expect that we will be able to harvest many of the plants by the end of the fall of this year. Our students are also starting to learn about how crops are rotated and how in future sessions, we would be able to plant more crops and herbs that'll be more sustainable. With your help, we plan to participate in agricultural activities using the tools you have provided for us, includung 4H of Texas.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your generous support of our students. You have left an indelible mark on both their education and the education of future learners here at our school.","fullyFundedDate":1744138672776,"projectUrl":"project/bulldog-school-garden/9221633/","projectTitle":"Bulldog School Garden","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Herb","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9989141_orig.jpg?crop=600,600,x62,y60&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1743525067327","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9989141"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_106278","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":313,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":59,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"7.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":52.9,"schoolId":106278,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Baylor College of Medicine Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Baylor College of Medicine Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/houston-independent-school-district/baylor-clg-of-medicine-academy/106278"}
