Having enough soccer balls allows our athletes to get more touches during practice, stay engaged, and build confidence as they learn the game.\r\n\r\nWhen the girls first saw the new soccer balls, they were fired up and ready to practice! Their excitement brought great energy to the field. One of the best moments was watching them encourage each other during drills and celebrate when a teammate mastered a new skill. Seeing so many first-time players step outside their comfort zones, work hard, and grow throughout the season was incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to keep developing strong fundamentals through individual drills, partner work, and small-sided games. We will also continue emphasizing communication, discipline, teamwork, and perseverance as we build the foundation of our new program. Now, every player has the opportunity to practice consistently, and their growth has been incredible. One student shared how excited she was to finally have enough equipment to practice with her teammates instead of waiting on the sidelines—moments like that have made a huge difference in both confidence and teamwork.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, our program is growing. We already have more girls interested in joining next year, and we've been able to expand into a year-round volleyball program. Most of them had never even held a golf club before, but their inquisitive and competitive natures showed through as they began to learn how to properly use the equipment. \r\n\r\nAs we continue to practice golf skills, the students are also being mentored by successful women in the community. The long term goal is to create a sense of belonging in the students that will allow them to step boldly into networking situations that could advance their careers.
