Watching their eyes light up as they saw their digital drawings become physical objects was nothing short of magical. What once felt out of reach—engineering, design, innovation—now feels exciting and possible.\r\n\r\nHere are just a few of the ways your gift has made an impact:\r\n\r\nStudents designed and printed their own sculptures, learning about form, space, and structure in a hands-on, memorable way.\r\nClassroom collaboration flourished as students worked together to plan, build, and troubleshoot designs—learning persistence and teamwork.\r\nCross-curricular learning expanded, with students making historical artifacts, geometric shapes, and story-based figurines that connected with lessons from other subjects.\r\nConfidence and pride grew, especially among students who sometimes struggle in traditional classrooms. Our 5th graders helped to set up the vermicompost bin, each student able to (most of them for the first time) touch worms and one-by-one add a handful to the bins. They shredded compostable bedding by hand and added food scraps to begin the process of vermicomposting. \r\n\r\nThe bin is located right outside our environmental science class so all are able to walk by and see what this random black bin on a table was, as well as read all about it with the infographic we made. Just the other day our 3rd graders who are currently learning about conservation did a gallery walk around the campus to see how our school practiced conservation. They stopped by the vermicompost bin and had the opportunity to look inside to see the process of how worms contributed to our conservation efforts. \r\n\r\nThis is a great opportunity for our students and has been an extremely helpful learning tool you contributed to our campus.
