Your generosity has given our students the opportunity to explore materials that many of them have never used before. In a Title I school, access to high-quality art supplies can make a huge difference, and your support helps ensure that every child has the chance to create, experiment, and feel proud of their work.\r\nWith the polymer clay, students are using their hands to shape, roll, and design small sculptures, strengthening their fine motor skills while learning about texture, form, and craftsmanship. Working with clay encourages patience, problem-solving, and creativity as students turn their ideas into real objects they can hold and share.\r\nOur oil pastel projects allow students to explore color in exciting ways. They are learning how to blend colors, create texture, and add expressive details to their drawings. Many students are discovering new confidence in their artistic abilities as they see their ideas come to life with bright, bold color.\r\nBeyond the skills they are learning, these projects give students a safe and joyful space to express themselves. Art allows them to share their stories, emotions, and imagination in ways that words sometimes cannot. Your generosity is helping foster creativity, confidence, and pride in our young artists.\r\nBecause of you, our students are experiencing the excitement of creating something truly their own. Thank you for believing in the power of art education and for supporting our classroom. Your kindness is making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1767782837990,"projectUrl":"project/expanding-creative-access-through-polyme/9983701/","projectTitle":"Expanding Creative Access Through Polymer Clay and Oil Pastels","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Creglow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp988272_orig.jpg?crop=2181,2181,x481,y614&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1563248811295","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/988272"},{"teacherId":988272,"projectId":9215583,"letterContent":"On behalf of our entire Austin Environmental Science community, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous support in bringing a 3D printer to our elementary art classroom.\r\n\r\nThanks to your kindness, over 600 students—most of whom come from low-income families—now have access to a tool that has completely transformed how they experience art, learning, and creative problem-solving.\r\n\r\nFor many of our students, this was their first time using advanced technology like a 3D printer. Watching their eyes light up as they saw their digital drawings become physical objects was nothing short of magical. What once felt out of reach—engineering, design, innovation—now feels exciting and possible.\r\n\r\nHere are just a few of the ways your gift has made an impact:\r\n\r\nStudents designed and printed their own sculptures, learning about form, space, and structure in a hands-on, memorable way.\r\nClassroom collaboration flourished as students worked together to plan, build, and troubleshoot designs—learning persistence and teamwork.\r\nCross-curricular learning expanded, with students making historical artifacts, geometric shapes, and story-based figurines that connected with lessons from other subjects.\r\nConfidence and pride grew, especially among students who sometimes struggle in traditional classrooms. The 3D printer gave them a new way to shine.\r\nYour generosity gave our students more than a machine—it gave them a new way to believe in themselves and their futures. In a school where resources are often stretched thin, your support showed our kids that they are worth investing in.\r\nThank you for opening doors and expanding horizons. We are so grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1743319965990,"projectUrl":"project/design-create-explorelet-your-imagina/9215583/","projectTitle":"Design, Create, Explore—Let Your Imagination Fly With 3D Printing!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Creglow","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp988272_orig.jpg?crop=2181,2181,x481,y614&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1563248811295","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/988272"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_16369","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":577,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":10,"percentWhite":7,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"16.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":79.6,"schoolId":16369,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Austin Environ Science Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Austin Environ Science Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/grand-prairie-independent-school-district/austin-elementary-school/16369"}
