This allowed my students to embark on a high quality painting exploration. We focused on technical drawing accuracy and realistic landscape. The 4th and 5th graders had a chance to explore Asian Art and spent a full month copying various painting techniques. Many students had been asking how to paint mountains and creating realistic scenes including not only the mountains but the trees and the sky. We spent several classes focusing on each aspect. \r\n\r\nPlease know your contribution meant a great deal to my students. We had never had the opportunity to paint to this degree. I can't tell you how thrilled they were with the results. Many have shown me pictures they took at home having them framed for their bedroom. The two images I have included are the paintings that competed in the state competition.
