The Career Closet is now housed in its own dedicated classroom, and the transformation has been incredible! We finally have space for a fully functional store where students can shop for career-ready clothing, attend workshops, and participate in skill-building activities. What was once a small storage space is now a vibrant hub of creativity, confidence, and community.\r\n\r\nStudents in our Career Prep program have truly taken ownership of this initiative. They've organized a student-led marketing team, logistics team, and special task force to manage donations, coordinate events, and design new outreach efforts. We even created a campus-wide video encouraging clothing donations and are labeling each bag with custom student-designed tags. The pride they take in this project is inspiring—students walk into the space with a sense of purpose and excitement, knowing they are doing something that directly supports their peers and prepares them for future success.\r\n\r\nThe Career Closet has quickly become more than just a resource; it's a symbol of leadership, collaboration, and real-world learning. Students are gaining a true understanding of how design moves from the screen to a finished product, and their excitement has been contagious.\r\n\r\nThe most incredible part has been watching students take ownership of their learning. Because of this project, we were able to bring back the Graphic Design Club, giving students even more opportunities to create, collaborate, and explore. Club members are now taking on \"client\" projects for teachers and campus events, which has given them authentic experience in project management, communication, and troubleshooting real-world print and design challenges. It's been inspiring to see their confidence grow as they bring their artwork to life and see their designs displayed around campus.\r\n\r\nOur program continues to grow each day, and the impact is reaching beyond our classroom. As our campus begins construction, administrators are already seeking out our students for short- and long-term beautification projects.
