The squishies, Jolly Ranchers, granola bars, Takis, and sensory stickers you provided have become powerful tools for reinforcing the behaviors we're working so hard to build. When students first saw the variety of rewards available, their faces lit up with excitement suddenly, participating in class discussions, staying on task, and supporting their peers became goals they were genuinely motivated to achieve. One of my favorite moments was watching a typically quiet student raise their hand to answer a challenging question about computer terminology, beaming with pride as they selected their reward afterward.\r\n\r\nThese resources have made an incredible impact on our classroom culture. Students are now eager to answer questions, engage in lessons, and hold themselves accountable to our behavior expectations. The rewards have given them tangible recognition for their efforts, which has been especially meaningful for students who struggle with self-regulation or confidence. We're using a point system where students earn opportunities to choose from the reward options, and the excitement around earning points has created a positive, encouraging atmosphere where everyone wants to succeed.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we're building on this momentum by setting new classroom goals focused on collaboration and academic risk-taking. As we dive deeper into our computer terminology unit and other challenging content, these positive reinforcement tools will continue to motivate students to push themselves outside their comfort zones. Your contribution has given my students more than just treats you've given them confidence, motivation, and proof that their efforts matter.
