My students are using the materials during hands-on learning centers, where they can explore, investigate, and practice new skills through play and discovery.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were so excited to see everything! Their curiosity immediately took over as they touched, examined, and talked about the new resources. It was wonderful to see them naturally working together, sharing materials, asking questions, and using both English and Spanish to describe what they were discovering.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite moments has been watching students become little scientists during our Discovery Center activities. They are learning to observe closely, make predictions, explore different materials, and share what they notice with their classmates. These experiences make learning more engaging and help our young learners build confidence while developing important language, social, and problem-solving skills.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue building on these experiences through our current classroom investigations. Students will have opportunities to make observations, compare their findings, use new vocabulary, and document what they discover. Thank you to our generous donors for helping make these hands-on learning experiences possible. My students gathered around so closely, eyes wide, reaching out carefully like they were holding something really special—because to them, they were. One of my quietest students looked up at me and said, \"This is for us?\" That moment stayed with me. They felt seen. They felt important.\r\ne resources have completely changed the energy in our classroom. During centers, I've watched students who usually hesitate jump in with confidence—helping each other, laughing, trying again when something feels hard. \r\nAs we move forward, we're building on that excitement every single day. We're using these materials to deepen our literacy and language skills, especially through collaboration and creativity. My students are beginning to create more of their own ideas, tell their own stories, and support one another in ways that make our classroom feel like a little community.","fullyFundedDate":1763590508200,"projectUrl":"project/little-scientists-exploring-life-throug/9884050/","projectTitle":"Little Scientists: Exploring Life Through Microscopes and Butterflies!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sifuentes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8547421_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1659197609050","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8547421"},{"teacherId":10068706,"projectId":9442373,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom. Because of your support, my students are learning how letters take on specific shapes and sounds, how those letters come together to form words, and how recognizing the same sequence of letters helps them read familiar words as they turn each page. Your donations have truly strengthened their understanding of how reading works, giving them the tools to decode words and make meaningful connections between print and sound.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading looks like students proudly sounding out new words, recognizing high-frequency words and saying them with confidence, and using picture clues to figure out unfamiliar vocabulary. They absolutely love these books because they are accessible, enjoyable, and help them feel successful every single day.
