Because of your support, our students were able to take books home to read, practice with their coach in class, and ultimately take center stage in a competition they had only heard about before.\r\n\r\nFor the first time, our students had the same opportunity that students from other schools have enjoyed for years. They didn't have to miss out on this incredible experience. Instead, they were able to showcase their knowledge, teamwork, and love of reading.\r\n\r\nWhen our students stepped onto the TCU campus, many were amazed. For some, it was their first time visiting a university, and they never imagined they would have the opportunity to be there. Beyond the excitement of the competition, they were inspired by the experience of being on a college campus and seeing what their future could hold.\r\n\r\nThroughout the year, students eagerly quizzed one another on the books, compared notes, and discussed characters, settings, and plots. Watching them engage with the stories and share their unique perspectives was truly inspiring. They learned that every reader brings a different lens to a story, and together they worked as a team to \"battle the books\" and demonstrate their understanding of the texts.\r\n\r\nThank you to our donors for making this unforgettable experience possible. Because of your support, our students were able to go places they had never been, participate in an opportunity they never thought possible, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come.\r\n\r\nYour generosity opened doors, sparked excitement for reading, and showed our students that they are capable of achieving great things.
