My students love graphic novels, and they love I Survived so this has been a great contribution. These graphic novels make reading a historical fiction so accessible to my students who can't tackle a novel yet. They can't get enough of them. I have multiple copies of several of them so they especially enjoy reading with a friend.\r\nThe novel sets we received through this project have also been so helpful. My students love reading a novel as a whole class and disscussing it. Having a complete novel set enables each student to hold a book in their hands. It also inspires them to read more from the same author, more books in a series, and more books from the same genre. They love to meet the challenge of reading a variety of genres in our 40 Book Genre Challenge.\r\nReceiving contributions from donors has made this possible in my classroom.
