The students were very excited to have new games to use in speech therapy. I had my AIM students assemble the games (AIM is a self-contain class for students who are at least, 2-grade levels behind their peers.) They had to follow the printed directions and put together the games. The students were able to make inferences from the instructions and anticipate what would happen. The best part of the games was the element of surprise. The expressions on the students face was priceless. \r\n\r\nAfter putting the games together, the students took turns interviewing each other about the game. They were able to ask/answer 'wh' questions related to the games. The students also worked on writing reviews for the games. This is just one example of how these games were catalyst for communication between the students. It is just amazing as a Speech Pathologist to watch students who tend to be reserved, blossom. Even the quietest student was excited and participated.","fullyFundedDate":1738872072133,"projectUrl":"project/jump-into-communication-through-play/8864572/","projectTitle":"Jump Into Communication Through Play","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. S","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7711904_orig.png?crop=297,297,x57,y100&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1742391600159","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7711904"},{"teacherId":9725529,"projectId":8732749,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your support in funding our new colorful carpet and sensory toys for my first grade classroom. This simple yet impactful addition to our classroom has become the heart of our learning space.
