In my art classroom, I provide opportunities for students in grades K-5 to explore, experiment, and express themselves with varying visual arts mediums in a safe learning environment. Through the utilization of Interdisciplinary Art Lessons, my students become individual thinkers that use problem solving skills in all academic areas for maximum success. The arts are one of the best tools for Social Emotional Learning. Through their own creations, students develop confidence in their own abilities and support their peers as they learn about each other. They use their heARts to help bring people together to grow, share, and heal. Giving children opportunities to create expressively and emotionally in order to learn about themselves, others, and the world past, present, and future has always been and will continue to be my passion.
