The excitement was incredible, students loved dressing up as mini chefs, safely using the knives, and cutting fruits on their boards. It truly brought the learning experience to life.\r\n\r\nWe also received many compliments from parents, as the children went home excitedly sharing everything they learned and experienced. It was a meaningful moment not only for our students, but for their families as well.\r\n\r\nWe regularly share updates on our page, Cuellar_aeroponics, where you can see firsthand how your generous donation is making a difference and being put to great use for our students.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your support and for helping create these memorable and impactful learning experiences.","fullyFundedDate":1776199864254,"projectUrl":"project/mini-chefs-big-steam-skills/10189132/","projectTitle":"Mini Chefs, Big STEAM Skills","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vieira","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10213166_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1764164868162","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10213166"},{"teacherId":7607293,"projectId":10011111,"letterContent":"Students have been highly engaged in caring for and observing plants as they grow in the classroom aeroponic tower. The flowers are thriving and showing strong, healthy growth, and students are excited to check on them each day and take part in their care. This daily interaction has helped build curiosity, confidence, and a sense of responsibility.\r\n\r\nThrough this experience, students have strengthened early science skills by asking questions, making predictions, and describing what they observe. They are developing an understanding of plant life cycles and the basic needs of living things, including water, light, and nutrients.\r\n\r\nThe project has also supported early math development. Students have practiced counting seeds, comparing plant growth, measuring changes, and noticing patterns, helping them connect math concepts to real-world experiences.\r\n\r\nAs the flowers continue to grow, they will be ready by May 2026 to be transplanted into PK4 pollinator garden. This next step will help students see how their classroom learning extends into the real world, supporting pollinators and deepening their understanding of how science and math work together in nature.","fullyFundedDate":1774963638557,"projectUrl":"project/little-learners-growing-big-ideas-with-a/10011111/","projectTitle":"Little Learners Growing Big Ideas with an Aeroponic Tower","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7607293_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1772131764832","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7607293"},{"teacherId":10213166,"projectId":10070131,"letterContent":"I truly don't have enough words to express my gratitude for your generous donation. They eagerly explored the items, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged in hands-on learning. This enthusiasm reflects the importance of developmentally appropriate resources that encourage exploration, creativity, and sustained attention—essential components of early childhood learning.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, students will continue using these materials to strengthen early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills through structured centers and collaborative projects. The blocks were quickly spread across the carpet, and the students immediately started using them in many different ways. Some children built castles, others created houses, while a few joined pieces together to design new shapes. Some students truly surprised me by working together as a team to sort the blocks by color. It was wonderful to see them collaborating, communicating, and learning from one another.\r\nThe paintbrushes have made a big difference in our classroom. My old brushes were not good ones and did not work well, but these new ones are perfect. The children were so excited and began painting right away, practicing the letter and number of the day. They were engaged, focused, and proud of their work.\r\nNext, we will continue using these resources to strengthen hands-on learning, teamwork, creativity, and early literacy and math skills. It was amazing to watch them make choices about what to buy, decide how to spend their money, and think about value: what costs more, what costs less, and whether they had enough. They truly loved this activity.\r\n\r\nWe have also been using the Stax Numbers, and they have been a great tool for helping students understand how numbers grow as we count forward and adding one more to make the next number.
