Students take on roles such as doctors, nurses, receptionists, and patients. They use the medical kits, lab coats, clipboards, and pretend tools to check heartbeats, take temperatures, and care for their patients. This center supports language development, social skills, and problem-solving as students communicate with one another and act out real-world experiences.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, they were beyond excited. Their faces lit up as they explored the tools and eagerly chose roles. Many immediately began making connections to their own doctor visits, saying things like, \"I'm the doctor like my mom!\" or \"You need a check-up!\" Their enthusiasm led to longer, more meaningful play and collaboration.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for our students include expanding the doctor's office into a deeper learning experience. We are working on lessons about community helpers, basic health and hygiene, and using new vocabulary words related to the medical field. Students will also practice writing patient names, counting supplies, and discussing feelings and care routines. Thanks to your generosity, this center will continue to grow and support imaginative, hands-on learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1767815131115,"projectUrl":"project/a-doctors-office-for-learning/9971948/","projectTitle":"A Doctor’s Office for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7607293_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1766687017985","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7607293"},{"teacherId":10162453,"projectId":9694628,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing our classroom with STEM bins.
