Awesome flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, they choose a location in the classroom that makes them feel eager to learn. Currently, my students are all working from home in locations such as the bedroom, floor, bathroom, outside, and even in the tub. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating the entire child. Amazing things happen when students are given a choice in their seating. They almost always make good decisions about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The stools selected will allow students to adopt different and, frequently, healthier postures than conventional seating arrangements. Having them as an option in a flexible seating classroom aids with both individual, quiet study as well as more collaborative, discussion-based group work. The floor seating allows for working on the floor. It's an ideal solution for students who have difficulty sitting still for prolonged periods of time. Children are often satisfied to work (and work productively) on the floor. The standing desk selected are better known for their increasing popularity in offices and workplaces, their presence is also growing in schools around the world. Numerous studies show that prolonged periods of sitting can be terrible for our health. Some students need the option of standing while working to help with increased energy and stabilized focus. The open environment of flexible seating fosters and facilitates a world of possibilities.
